Kosi Bay has fantastic sand and bush tracks for 4 x 4 enthusiasts, various self-drive day trips can be taken to stunning and remote beaches and lakes. Tracks for Africa or a good map showing GPS co-ordinates is advised or alternately local guides are available on request.

Black Rock

One of most beautiful beaches on our coastline. A rocky headland forms a point with a deep bay. Great for swimming and surfing. Good option to escape strong south winds. Black Rock Beach is a fisherman’s paradise, very nice place to snorkel during low tide.  Permits are restricted to 10 Vehicles per day. 1.30 hour drive from the lodge.

Lala Nek

Lala Nek is an awesome pristine beach; it is the best beach for snorkelling at low tide. There is a rocky reef that protects the bay with many rock features in the bay to explore marine life. Look out for octopus and green turtles. This is also a great beach for surf fishing. Permits required, 1.30 hour drive from the lodge.
